Butterflies are Blooming is the largest temporary butterfly exhibit in the nation. Visitors can view more than 7,000 butterflies from around the world.

If you are looking for fun indoor activities for kids, check out Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. With more than 150 acres of botanical experiences and a variety of outdoor activities, there is something for everyone.

In addition to the outdoor gardens, there are five indoor theme gardens. The Lena Meijer Children’s Garden is a five-acre, interactive garden designed for young children. There are towering trees, a Great Lakes water feature, and a rock quarry. It is also home to an heirloom vegetable patch.

Another indoor activity is the Curiosity Courtyard, which is inspired by Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden. This area features ten engaging activity stations. Each station offers a different learning experience.

Another popular indoor activity for children is the Great Lakes Water Feature, which offers a variety of hands-on activities. For example, there is a miniature boat that can be launched from a bridge. A series of information panels and a water table help teach kids about the Great Lakes.
