In addition, the Menil is eligible for public funds from the City of Houston and the State of Texas through the National Endowment for the Arts. The museum has a wide range of holdings, including the works of Rene Magritte and Yves Tanguy in the early to mid-twentieth Century, Man Ray, Marcel Duchamp as well as Henri Matisse and Jackson Pollock.
