Missoula, Montana – Home to the Best Restorents in the United States
If you’re looking for a place to have breakfast in Missoula, Montana, you’ve come to the right place. With a variety of restaurants serving traditional American fare, as well as vegan and vegetarian options, Missoula is the perfect place to refuel your body before a long day. While you might think of Missoula as an “American town,” this charming town offers much more. With its many parks, hiking trails, and outdoor activities, it’s easy to find something to suit any taste.
One of the best things to do in Missoula is to visit the Butterfly House and Insectarium. Visitors can learn about different insects and eat them. While they’re there, visitors should make sure to tip their servers well – 20 to 25 percent is customary! Insects are an integral part of this attraction, and bug ambassadors are necessary to the experience. The Insectarium offers a variety of fun activities for children, as well as families, and the experience is made even more memorable by the Bug Ambassadors.
The city is located in the northern region of Montana, flanked by steep hills and a valley. Formerly, the city was the bottom of Glacial Lake Missoula, but now lies at the confluence of three rivers. With its numerous recreational opportunities, Missoula is a vacationer’s paradise. From kayaking in downtown to hiking in the 60,000-acre wilderness, Missoula has it all. The city is also home to blue-ribbon trout fishing.
Tagliare Delicatessen #1
Tagliare Delicatessen in Missoula is the best place to find a delicious sandwich. Although it may seem a bit ordinary, this delicatessen serves the finest craft meats, cheeses, and other foods in the city. The Kiss (prosciutto and provolone with fig & Walnut Chutney, arugula, olive oil, arugula, and arugula) is a favorite sandwich.
The Zeppelin (turkeys, dry salame pastrami, provolone greens, onions, oil, vinegar, and turkey) are also favorites. You can also find a wide range of imported and local products, including homemade pasta sauces and oils, cheeses, and charcuterie.

Five on Black #2
Five on Black is my favorite Missoula fast-casual restaurant and probably the best. Five on Black is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. The food is fresh, fast, delicious, healthy, and reliable. Five on Black is a unique Mexican restaurant that offers a variety of Brazilian-influenced flavors.
You can choose your base (I prefer to use a mix of greens, brown rice and protein), vegetables (sweet potatoes are my favorite), sauce and toppings (give me the chimichurri or farofa). You’re a shame if you don’t finish your meal with one of their cute little Brazillian cheese sandwiches. This is one of the most popular Missoula restaurants!
The Catalyst Cafe #3
The Catalyst Cafe is the subject of this article. The cafe is busy, the owners are probably more hipster-ish than you are comfortable with, and there is no doubt that the food is amazing. The Catalyst Cafe is one of the top Missoula restaurants.
You can order breakfast or brunch, and they offer both lunch and breakfast. The 3 egg omelet and huevos rancheros are some of the most popular menu items. If you really feel it, order the cheddar potato casserole with any entree. Yums.

Plonk was like two worlds colliding. I felt the small town atmosphere that I had been immersed in for weeks, but also the chic, sophisticated, “big city” vibe that Plonk’s aesthetic and menu gave me. Plonk is a popular spot for wine and music, but it’s all about the food.
We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of every dish we tried. Plonk’s seasonal menu changes so it’s not likely that you will find the same menu items every time you visit. We recommend asking the chef for recommendations and treating ourselves to some appetizers, an entree and dessert. This is a must-try when it comes down to Missoula restaurants.
