Here are five takeaways after Chiefs' Week 3-loss to Colt

The Kansas City Chiefs had the chance to kick off the season with 3-0. They couldn't make it work against the Indianapolis Colts.

They will instead settle for 2-1 going into the big primetime battle with Tom Brady (and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

T team delivered on its defensive goals, beyond that performance. They stopped Jonathan Taylor's pace and placed pressure on Matt Ryan.

he Taylor was held to 71 rushing yards over 13 attempts by their team. They had 10 touchdown passes and four sacks of Ryan.

They forced two turnovers and recovered one. Indy was kept behind the sticks throughout the game by six tackles.

Chiefs' new-look receivers group and quarterback Patrick Mahomes are still learning their way. There were a few mistakes in the timing against the Colts.

For example, JuJu SmithSchuster, Justin Watson, Marquez Valdes Scantling's deep passes.

While many people had been preaching patience with the young defense in the lead up to the season, I believe we are now seeing that the offense may need some patience.
