Livingston, Montana – A Great Tourist Destination 

THE TOWN OF LIVINGSTON, MONTANA, IS LOCATED ON THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER NORTH OF YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. 

It has a population of 8,040 as of the 2020 census. It’s a popular tourist destination. Its cultural attractions include Bozeman Hot Springs and Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop. 

Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop is an iconic landmark in downtown Livingston, Montana, where the passion for the outdoors runs deep. Since 1938, this legendary fly shop has helped people and rivers stay wild. 

Located in the heart of the historic downtown district, Dan Bailey’s has inspired anglers from all over the world. The fly shop is dedicated to outdoor recreation and conservation 

The Fly Shop was founded by Dan Bailey, who had a passion for fishing. In 1936, Bailey met his wife Helen and married her. They spent a summer together camping on the Madison River. 

The following year, Dan and Helen moved to Livingston. The couple opened a storefront at a former hotel, the Albemarle, and sold fishing gear and supplies. 

Robert Parks' arrival in Livingston, Montana, from the San Francisco Art Institute in California, made quite a splash. 

This young man's talent for capturing a unique atmosphere and making a statement was a perfect fit for the area.
